What an Injury Case Manager Does After an Accident

A case manager does not treat you. The case manager finds a licensed provider near you, books the visits, follows up when an appointment is missed, and keeps your records and bills organized.

Scheduling

After one call, a coordinator looks for an independently licensed provider close to your home or job and books the first visit. If the treating provider wants you to see another type of provider, the coordinator books that too.

Keeping care on track

Coordinators confirm appointments and help reschedule when something comes up, so a missed visit does not turn into a month without care.

Organizing the file

With your written authorization, records and bills are requested from each office and kept together, so nothing is missing later.

What a case manager does not do

A case manager does not examine you, diagnose you or decide your treatment. Licensed providers do that.
